A beautiful veranda with an outdoor fireplace and a very large beautiful garden with a view of the church of Zwaag.
The guest house of this villa from the 70s is something very special and has a lot to offer. The cosy rooms are equipped with all modern conveniences. The living room has a dining area and a cosy sitting area with a flat screen TV. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a fridge/freezer. On the cosy veranda - directly accessible through two double garden doors from the living room - there is an outdoor fireplace. To sit outside on the possibly even cooler evenings. There is a luxurious bathroom with a separate shower and two sinks. The bedroom is very spacious and has a large double bed and a separate sitting area. There is free Wifi throughout the entire stay.
Fiddler's Hoorn has its own entrance and parking space in front of the house. Behind the owner's main house and Fiddlers's Green Guesthouse there is a large 'hidden' garden with many old trees, an original greenhouse and an attractive arbour. Almost around the corner you will find the bakery, supermarket and café.
From Fiddler's Hoorn you can reach the centre of Hoorn in 10 minutes by public transport. This authentic harbour town on the IJsselmeer has many shops, museums, terraces and squares. From Hoorn you can reach the centre of Amsterdam in half an hour by public transport.

Wir sind von Anfang an von den freundlichen Vermietern kontaktiert und sehr gut informiert worden. Die Unterkunft entspricht sehr genau den veröffentlichen Bildern. Die Umgebung ist ruhig, villenartig und hübsch. So ist auch das kleine Häuschen extrem sauber und gepflegt, auch der dazugehörige Garten samt Gewächshaus. Besonders zu erwähnen ist das große neue und bequeme Bett. Die Eigentümer waren immer freundlich und hätten uns in jeder Lebenslage geholfen falls wir Fragen gehabt hätten. Wir durften die ganze Zeit unser Auto in der Einfahrt parken!
Nicht gefallen ist zu viel gesagt. Wenn man einige Tage dort verbringt, fallen einem kleine Dinge auf, die noch verbessert werden könnten. das ist aber unsere persönliche Meinung. Wir hätten uns über eine kleine Lampe am Esstisch gefreut und auch über Abstellmöglichkeiten im Bad und neben dem Bett, für Buch, Brille etc. Das evtl. als kleine Anregung. Auf jeden Fall danke für einen schönen Aufenthalt!

The origins of Zwaag date back to the 13th century. This village is located in The Netherlands / Holland. The church tower dates from around 1500. Originally, the population consisted of sailors and craftsmen. Zwaag was then a town, but it lost its town rights after lengthy disputes with nearby Hoorn. From the 15th century onwards, Zwaag was a village of berry growers and dairy farmers. From 1900, more and more greenhouses were built for growing flowers, mainly tulips and roses. In 1979, it became part of Hoorn, so that Hoorn could expand and absorb the surplus population of Amsterdam. The capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam, is about 40 kilometres away.
