Sainte-Maxime

Sainte-Maxime is a beautiful Provençal town with a welcoming character and a well-filled agenda all year round. Around Sainte-Maxime there are beautiful natural areas, stretching from the Gulf of Saint-Tropez to the wooded hills of the Les Maures massif. The fine, sheltered sandy beaches lie to the south of the town. The shopping streets, the markets and the idyllic marina: everything in Sainte-Maxime breathes the authentic atmosphere of the Cote d'Azur. In the hills near Sainte-Maxime, there is an 18-hole golf course with a magnificent view of the Mediterranean Sea. The beaches of Sainte-Maxime are very popular because of their ideal location: facing south and protected from the wind by the mountains. Even the most spoilt beach lover will enjoy the beaches in the town itself and in the surrounding area. The best beaches are to be found to the west of Saint-Maxime, particularly at La Nartelle. After a wonderful day of sun, sea and sand, the lively centre of Sainte-Maxime is a great place to relax. The Promenade Simon Lorière offers a beautiful view of Saint-Tropez and in the pedestrian part of town you can stroll along shops, restaurants and terraces. Near the old town is the characteristic tower, La Tour Carrée, which was built in the 16th century by monks to protect the town against enemy attacks. The tower is now a museum and not to forget the ferry from Sainte-Maxime to Saint-Tropez, it is wonderful enjoyment, we wish you a happy holiday!
